Luxury Throws That Make a Room Feel Considered
What makes a throw "luxury"?
A luxury throw uses a tighter weave, a heavier drop, and a finished trim, so it drapes cleanly and holds its shape instead of bunching after one use. Because the weave is denser, it feels substantial without adding bulk. Every Shopica luxury throw starts from $150 and sits inside our wider throws range, where you'll also find sizing and climate guidance that applies across every style we stock.
The Difference Shows the Moment You Pick One Up
An everyday throw looks fine folded on a shelf. A luxury one still looks considered after someone's pulled it across their lap for the third time that evening. Because the weight is distributed evenly through the weave, it falls the way good clothing falls, naturally, without needing to be readjusted.
All throws ship from Sydney with tracked delivery Australia-wide. Free returns within 30 days.

What You're Actually Paying For
Fine Weave and Weight
A tighter weave holds its structure after repeated use, so it stays substantial without ever feeling heavy.
Elevated Trims
Contrast piping and tassel edges are visible from across the room, and that's exactly what signals quality before anyone touches the piece.
Drape That Holds
Even weight distribution stops the fabric bunching, so it looks staged even when it isn't.
Where Luxury Throws Work Best
Three Places It Makes the Most Impact
Draped Over a Sofa
One arm drape adds texture beside your cushions and turns a styled sofa into a genuinely inviting one.
Folded at the Bed Foot
A neat fold at the foot of the bed gives you the hotel finish most people are chasing. Pair with matching bedside tables to finish it.
Over an Armchair
This completes the hardest corner in most rooms to style. Add a floor lamp beside it and the space feels intentional.
Styling Tip
Choose a tone one shade deeper than your sofa or bedding. A cream sofa with a warm taupe throw creates depth that an exact colour match never does.
Materials
What Determines the Feel
Cotton Blend
Holds colour through regular washing without pilling, so it's the most practical luxury option for daily sofa use.
Velvet Finish
Catches lamplight in the evening and adds depth that flat weaves can't. Hand wash or a gentle cycle keeps the pile intact.
Double-Sided
Reverse it for a second look without buying a second piece. The heaviest option here, so it suits genuinely cold evenings.
Getting It to You
How Luxury Throws Ship
Because trims and fine weaves crease more visibly than everyday fabric, every luxury throw ships folded flat with tissue between the layers rather than rolled, so it arrives ready to style, not creased from transit.
Orders leave our Sydney warehouse on the next business day. If the weight or drape isn't right once it's home, return it within 30 days. Read our shipping policy and returns policy for full details.

WHY SHOPICA?
Quality You Can Trust
Shopica is a Sydney-based, family-owned homeware, décor and furniture store founded by Eliane El Khoury. What started as a passion for beautiful, considered interiors has grown into a trusted destination for Australians who care about how their home looks and feels. We curate cushions, floor lamps, mirrors, bedside tables, dining tables, outdoor furniture and decorative pieces chosen specifically for Australian homes. Every piece is held to the same standard we would demand for our own. We do not stock products simply because they are popular. We stock them because they are well made, beautifully designed and worth every dollar.
Our Sydney-based team understands how Australian homes are lived in. The open plan living and dining spaces that define modern Australian architecture. The need for furniture that is beautiful on the weekend and durable through the week. The importance of getting the details right, from the cushion on the sofa to the lamp beside the bed. We source every product with all of this in mind.
With Australia-wide delivery dispatched daily from our Smithfield warehouse in Sydney and personal customer support from a team that genuinely cares about your home, Shopica is here to help you create a space that feels as good as it looks. One considered piece at a time.
